When blended into a 5 micron slurry at the recommended rate, Ultra-55C will produce a stable suspension containing 80% calcium carbonate w/v (800gms per litre), which equates to 55% w/w (550 gms of calcium carbonate per kg of product). The suspension has a viscosity similar to that of paint.

One litre of Ultra-55C is sufficient to stabilise 20 litres of 5 micron slurry, and the slurry will remain in suspension for several months.

Ultra-55C will also stabilise calcium carbonate slurries with coarser or finer particle sizes, but the quantity of Ultra-55C may vary slightly.

The additives in Ultra-55C are non-toxic and degradable.

• Ultra-55C can be added as either as a pre-mix (ie before the addition of calcium carbonate to the water) or as a post-mix (after the addition of calcium carbonate )
• Sophisticated mixing equipment is not required - simply a mixing unit with sufficient agitation to blend Ultra-55C through the product
• For calcium carbonate manufacturers, Ultra-55C opens up the opportunity to supply a slurry which is far superior to the unstable, low concentration slurries normally available. Being a stable product, it does not require agitation during transport or storage, and the high concentration of calcium carbonate in the suspension can reduce transport and handling costs considerably
• For end users, Ultra-55C allows on-site conversion of an unstable slurry into a stable suspension
